06 Oct Time For Order!
We are in the 10th month of the year. (October 2021) The number 10 biblically represents Kingdom order or God’s perfect order. Order is defined in the English dictionary, as the arrangement or disposition of people or things concerning each other according to a particular sequence, pattern, or method
It’s a good thing to assess everything in our lives and begin to prioritize things. The bible says, in Matthew 6: 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. So, we see here that God wants to be first in our lives.
When we put God first it helps us put people, things in the right order.
Can you name a time when you didn’t put God first in your life? How did it turn out? Was there any difference between the time you put God first and when you didn’t?
Did you ever enter a relationship without consulting God first? How did that relationship turn out?
Have you ever entered a business indenture before asking God for direction? How is the business now?
It’s so important to get things in the right order. We need to understand how important it is to organize and prioritize our life, business, and relationships, etc.
Sometimes we need to get to a quiet place and grab a pen and paper and write down what’s important to us. We will realize that we are doing things or even allowing people or things to decide for us. Don’t allow your job to choose what should be the first place in your life, don’t allow people to make you put wrong things first. Oftentimes, we put shopping for a dress or gadget first when we haven’t even prioritized the things, we need first, then the things we want. It’s time to put first things. Your peace of mind, your health, your marriage, your children, yourself, God. Put things in order. We’ve heard this before, especially when someone is preparing to die or planning a will. They would need to get things in order.
Once God told these very words to a King:
2 Kings 20:1 Those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the LORD: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.’ ”
Often, we don’t even like thinking about, let alone speak on getting our house in order. But it must be done. This means getting organize. So, we don’t leave a complained mess behind when we are gone. Do your family a favor, do yourself a favor. Establish order in your life. Be intentional, be clear-minded and be purposeful. Everyone needs order. Everyone needs discipline. Everyone needs some organization in their life. With everything going on in this world we need to be reminded to put first things first. Time is valuable. Spent it wisely.
Start now while there are 2 months and change left before going into 2022. End this year with some order in your life.
