18 Nov THE SURPRISING QUICK FIX FOR A WORRIED AND ANXIOUS HEART
Isn’t it awesome that we are in the month of November where it’s all about giving thanks and gratitude? The year is almost over and we have so much to be thankful for. Unfortunately, life is not always so sweet. We encounter blows that can make us become ungrateful and have a salty odor in our demeanor even towards Christ, but there is a cure for your anxious heart. Desire to know what it is? Keep reading….
Letting God’s peace rule inside of you
Colossians 3:15 Says “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” It’s amazing the scripture says “let” the peace of God rule in your hearts. The word let means to allow, permit, give permission to and give leave to. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like an option. You have control over what rule in your hearts, you give permission to whatever it is that rule you on a day to day basis. We must decide what will become a Lord in our hearts. Will it be anxiety? Stress? Forgiveness? Strongholds? You can choose, let me paint an image in your head. When you go to a restaurant, the server offers you a menu. This menu contains all the restaurant offers from little meals to major ones depending on your budget or taste buds, but after a while he or she will say the number one question “What would you like to have?” It is the same way in the Kingdom of God. You have free will to choose peace over life’s bullets.
Key for a worried and anxious heart
How can one show gratitude in trying seasons? The recipe is give thanks to Jesus for all he has done for you! Showing your gratitude for what he has done and will continue to do will guarantee a switch in your mood! Have you ever felt down and pop on your air pods and found a song you like? Immediately the melody became instinct with your body and you started to dance? This is exactly what giving thanks does.
Doesn’t matter where you are in life right now and the why behind your stress. Exchange it today and right now for God’s peace. Do you believe this? Would you receive peace today? Cast away all your anxieties, throw away the worry and replace it with thanksgiving! Invite Christ’s peace to abide in your heart. He is your peace!
Sing a song, count your blessings one by one and remember the great things he has done for you, your family, friends and blessings you did not even pray for. Do not allow another hour, minute or second pass by without you looking up and saying, Jesus, I thank you! Blow him a kiss while you’re add it. Love on him, this is the will of God!
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
Happy early Thanksgiving!
