I find it interesting that the first thing God dealt with me was on the topic of forgiveness. I carried many weights from my past at an early age. Here I was feeling abandoned by my Father, my mother, stepmom and so forth. My father chose his mistress over his children while being a part of the church. This made me question whether God cared about me or not. Have you ever felt that way? You undergo a situation so painful that you question the Lord Jesus Christ like do you care about me? Do you see what I am going through? Is this what it will always be?

Surely enough, those were the thoughts that wavered in my mind, but being the woman that I am today I can see clearly why God wanted to repair my heart and while reading this blog I hope you allow the repairing process to be done in you as well.

Forgiveness exercises faith and the Bible tells us faith without works is dead. If someone says “I have faith” but no works then they speak in vain. Let me put it this way, your actions will always speak louder than your words. Faith is putting complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Why confidence? Why would anyone need faith to forgive? Having faith to forgive enables God to hear your prayers when it is time for you to receive mercy. Matthew 6:15 “ But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.” New Living Translation version. I love that this version says if you refuse. To refuse means to resist and that decision is up to you. I could have easily refuse to forgave my father because the fact was he hurt me. Just like you, I had reasons to be angry. I did not make any of my past up these are events that really took place, but as a new creation in Christ, the old has passed away and behold all things are new. You simply cannot remain the same being in the covenant of Jesus Christ.

Before the releasing of this book, I had to go through the very things I am telling you. You will not overcome without first being tested. Your story must make sense, it must align with God’s steps for your life. Stop holding the keys that can unlock heaven on earth for you.

Who knows what God has for you when you RELEASE the people that hurt you, the teacher that insulted you, those friends who betrayed you or the ones you help who did not say thank you or better yet, never acknowledge you in any way. Out of my obedience to God’s word a book was produced. What will it be for you? I hope this blog encouraged and challenged you to forgive because greater things are ahead for you. Remember that forgiveness is a choice. One have to choose to forgive. Every time the thoughts will come back to play like a melody you guard your heart and remind yourself that you already forgave them and you’ve decided to walk in a different way. Don’t go back. Pass that forgiveness test with confidence! Be bless.
