Common factors for your heaviness

There are many factors that plays in someone being overwhelmed. The possibilities are endless. An individual may feel burdened by a family member whose living a reckless life, a close friend that is suffering from low self esteem, a coworker that’s a pain in the butt, a rude, saditty boss, ministry overload, school and essays or even channel 7 news. With everything that is going on in this world, if not attentive, it can cause massive stress, but where do you run to when you want to reduce stress? Does the cares of life lead you to smoke a cigar? Call that special someone? Run to Netflix and chill because you decided in your mind nobody will understand you, but your favorite show may cheer you up? 

As a matter of fact, beware, at some point, these outlets will grow tiring and won’t be beneficial. Just like sin in the moment it feels great, but afterwards you are right back to square one. Temporary satisfaction is false nourishment for the soul. 

The best man for the job

Moreover, do you know who won’t ever get exhausted about your heavy loads? Jesus.  You can walk into a laundromat and the sign says “sorry washer is not in service.” Jesus Christ is always on the clock! He is always up and running. Going to him will never disappoint you. Matthew 11:28 NIV reads “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Jesus is speaking and all is welcome! He wants to give you rest! Rest how? Rest where?! Rest in your mind, body, spirit and in his comforting love.

Correspondingly, isn’t it amazing that we have a Lord who is not only sovereign, but cares about our daily lives. He wants to be involved in your health along with your total well-being. The Lord is waiting for you to invite him in your everyday life and give you medicine for your staggering soul. 1 Peter 5:7 KJV declares “Casting all your cares upon him because he cares for you.”   Now a days, it sounds easier to race to social media and express your problems, telling Facebook what’s on your mind and tweeting in 140 or more characters in hopes of someone liking it to verify that they can relate. An app is not necessary when you have the helper near your side. He makes all things lighter to carry. His peace is sweet! Continue reading for SECRETS for your soul and the best part? Life Changing Secrets

Secret #1 Acknowledge you are full from the cares of life. It looks a little something like this…  Dear Father, I know I can come to you with anything so I am coming. With no pride I am openly here to tell you I am tired. Tired from (fill in the blank) and I need your help. 

Secret #2  Call on God and enter in via prayer. How do you call someone you really care about when you need them? If you are speaking to a friend, you’ll say “hey girl” if you are speaking to a significant other you will answer “ Hey honey.” well what is God to you? Call on that which he is to you. Pray in boldness don’t beg. We are not strangers to the Lord. Pray in faith that he will respond when you speak to him. 

Secret #3 Dump every care! Don’t worry he can take your problems and anxieties. You can wear him out whenever you feel weary in your journey! His door wont say “we’re closed.” it’s always open. Talk to him today. Talk to him tonight.
