04 Jun Get ready for the new!
Revelation 21:5 Then the One seated on the throne said, “Look! I am making everything new.” He also said, “Write, because these words* are faithful and true.”
Are you ready for the new? As we enter the month of June, I want you to think new! New mindset, new home, new car, new relationship, new job, new money, new business. Etc.
But before we shout for joy about the new, we must get rid of the old. The old ways of thinking.
There is a scripture that reads: And no one puts* new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the skins burst, the wine spills out, and the skins are ruined. But they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”
So, to receive the new, the old must be done away with. A lot of us want new things without the work of taking away the old things in our life. Especially, when the old things are holding us back from true blessings from God. I encourage you today to make up your mind to do away with the old so you can be ready for the new. Get new ideas, new vision, new inspirations.
If we try to get the new things and still hold on to the old, we will get the same results because the new has been tainted by the old. The verse of scripture warns us if we try to mix both it will cause damage not to the old but rather to the new. So, heed that warning and start fresh, start new.
You have been holding on to the old stuff for far too long now it’s time to let go and get new! Like that saying goes out with old in with the new. If you’re like me I’ve held on to old clothes that I should have gotten rid of years ago and it’s affecting my closet space. So, for me to put new clothes in my closet I must make the tuff decision to get rid of my old clothes that my new clothes can fit in my closet. Get it? There are delays and setbacks in our lives due to us not being able to asset things that are causing the setbacks, delays, and disappointments.
If you are ready to do the work and take the old ways that are not working or causing damage to your life? Ok ready? Now grab a garbage bag and start taking all the old stuff and placing them in the bag and throw the old ones out! Throw away your stinking thinking, throw away those old clothes. Etc.
There is always excitement when expecting the new. Now go get your new. YOU DESERVE IT!
