Psalm 139:14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; *Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.

Psalm 139:17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them![18] If I counted them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.

There was a lot of thought in making you. Why would you want to be like someone else? Their hair, skin tone, family, career, husband, wife, children, car, house, etc. Be confident in your own skin. Love you, embrace you, Be you! You are uniquely made to stand out from the crowd. Even your fingerprint is unique; no one has that. There is big business in making people feel inadequate. Just look at the TV ads, social media, TV shows, Fashion or Style magazines, even down to the songs we listen to. Hollywood and the beauty industry make a lot of money, making you feel like you are not enough. They all point you to be like this and be like that. And now we live in a society that everyone looks alike. Significantly, the so-called IG models, same makeup, same hair, same breasts, same thighs, same plastic surgery done because that is a thing now in our culture. We are trained to conform to the world and the things of the world. Everywhere you look, these big industries are telling us we are not enough: you need this, you need that. But if you really sit back and realize that you were created differently, then you will see how you are needed in this world because no one is like you.

Stop looking at others and saying, oh, that’s goals right there! Truth be told, you do not know what it took for him or her to get what they have; you do not know if it’s just a façade and the majority of the people we see on social media “living their best life” is a façade, scam, straight up lie! Be careful what you wish for.

Oh, that’s relationship goals, hair goals, business goals. Why don’t you start a new trend called I’m my own goals! Because you do not want to be anyone but who you were created to be. If God Himself thinks highly of you, then what does it matter if anyone thinks differently? Be wonderfully You! Be like your fingerprint UNIQUE!!!  The bible tells us in 2 Cor. 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. See, the bible says it’s not intelligent when to compare ourselves.

Golden nugget: There is a grave danger in comparing ourselves to others. If we compare ourselves to others who are doing far worse than us, then there is the danger of pride and satisfaction that might keep us from doing even better. If we compare ourselves to those who are better than us, then there is the danger of discouragement and depression.

Plus, we don’t know everything about other people the way we know everything about ourselves. It’s possible that they look better or worse than they really are.

Stick with God and how He thinks of you and go from there. Build on that foundation.

Repeat after me: I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE! GOD LOVES ME! I LOVE ME! I WAS CREATED FOR A PURPOSE! I AM COURAGEOUSLY ME!  THE WORLD NEEDS ME TO BE UNIQUELY ME!
